Zikang Hou - Ph.D. Student

Zikang Hou is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology at Rice University. His research interests include Asian immigration, ethnicity, and religion. Specifically, he aims to explore how the participation of young Chinese immigrants in religious activities has changed after the pandemic and how these changes shape the expression of their ethnic identities. Zikang earned his B.A. in Sociology with honors from the University of Southern California in 2021 and his M.A. in Sociology from Columbia University in 2022.
