Tymofii Pieshkov got his B.S in Applied Physics and Nanotechnology from Lviv Polytechnic National University in Ukraine in 2020 after which, he became a graduate student in Applied Physics Program in Rice University. For the first two years in Rice, he was working towards his Master’s degree with Dr. Han as a scientific advisor. His research was focused on 2D nanomaterials, their interfacial structures, and data processing techniques to improve the STEM-EDX signal. After the defense, he joined Dr. Ajayan research lab to continue his work towards PhD and is currently working on projects related to growth and doping of diamond changing it from insulator to semiconductor.
