Taofeekat Lamina is a Mechanical Engineering student at Rice University, pursuing a minor in Engineering Design and a certificate in Engineering Leadership. She is passionate about human-centered design and creating solutions that improve everyday experiences.
On campus, Taofeekat serves as the Head Student Director for the Rice Center for Engineering Leadership (RCEL), where she oversees student leadership teams and collaborates with faculty to develop programming, opportunities, and initiatives that better serve the engineering community. She also serves as a Program Coordinator for the Activate Engineering Communication Program, supporting engineering students in strengthening their professional communication skills.
In addition to these roles, Taofeekat has held various leadership positions across campus organizations, where she has planned large-scale events, managed teams, and built inclusive community spaces. These experiences have equipped her with strong skills in collaboration, project management, and communication, which she continues to apply in her current roles and hopes to carry into her career in engineering and design.
