Pam Qian

Peizhu "Pam" Qian is a Ph.D. candidate in computer science researching explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and intelligent robotic tutoring systems for nursing education. Qian holds a B.S. in computer science and mathematics from Simmons College, Boston. She has won the Best Video Demo Award at the International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS), Rice Pollard Fellowship in Engineering, among other accomplishments. As a future faculty member, her lab will develop algorithmic robot teachers for healthcare skill training, closing the global shortage of healthcare workers to produce a sustainable healthcare workforce.
