Nahum received his M.A. in philosophy from Northern Illinois University, and his B.A. in psychology and the Amirim Humanities Honors Program from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to and between academic degrees he worked as a caretaker in a methadone clinic, as a member of the team composing the Israeli SAT (psychometric test) at the Israeli National Institute for Testing and Evaluation, as an editor of poetry translations, and as a risk analyst for Klarna, an international online payment company.
