BIOGRAPHY
Moses Ohene Biney is a doctoral student and graduate research assistant in the Department of Sociology at Rice University. He is also a Graduate Scholar at the Religion and Public Life Program under the Boniuk Institute for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance at Rice University. His broader research interests include religion, immigration, health, and culture. Moses’ research examines the experiences of African immigrants as it relates to assimilation, and health in the United States. His work contributes to understanding how religion shapes immigrant experiences and health behaviors across different social contexts. Moses holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (Sociology and Geography) from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, a Master of Arts in Applied Sociology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Rice University.
