Mia is a Ph.D. student in Applied Physics conducting research at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors in Engineering Physics at Stanford University, along with a Notation in Science Communication. Mia's research focuses on the development of phase-changing nanomaterials for applications in cancer immunotherapy, medical imaging, and mechanobiological tissue characterization. Outside of the lab, she is dedicated to making science and higher education more accessible for all through outreach, teaching, and mentorship.
