Md Jahidul Hoq Emon

I am a PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Rice University, working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yuji Zhao at the WIDE LAB. My research focuses on wide bandgap semiconductors for the development of highly efficient photonic devices. I specialize in optical modeling, simulation, and nanofabrication of photonic structures, with applications in advanced optoelectronic and photonic systems. I am an active member of professional organizations such as IEEE and Optica, and I am always open to collaborations across diverse research fields.
