I am using synthetic biology to engineer and explore the microbiome of the human urogenital tract (UGT). To facilitate this research, I am developing biosensors for dynamic reporting of UGT health status and evaluating potential actuation modules for controlling UGT ecology. These synthetic microbes can be used for modification of the human microbiome to enable diagnoses and treatment of human disease.
