Kyle Sherling

Kyle Sherling is a PhD student in the Department of Religion at Rice University. He holds a M.A. in Classics and Early Christianity from Houston Christian University and a B.A. in History from Stephen F. Austin State University. Kyle’s research interests are Early Jewish literature and its interaction with Greek and Roman imperial ideologies. He focuses specifically on the rewriting of ancestral traditions as a means of claiming material and symbolic goods in imperial contexts.
