Katie Turner is a doctoral student and graduate research assistant in the Spatial Processes and City Environments Collaborative at Rice. Their research broadly focuses on queer space, spatial analyses of the historical legacies of slavery, segregation, and collective memory. They received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from American University. Correct pronouns are they/them.
