Katie Alexander - Ph.D. Student

Katie Alexander is a doctoral student and research assistant in the Department of Sociology at Rice University. Her research focuses on gender, health and medicine, and family. In particular, Katie’s research examines the experiences of LGBTQ+ people in navigating and resisting cisnormativity and heteronormativity in areas like family and medicine using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Correct pronouns are she/her.
