Jiayi Yuan is a Ph.D. student from the Department of Computer Science at Rice University, advised by Dr. Xia “Ben” Hu. His research interests include efficient and trustworthy machine learning. Recently, he has been focusing on LLMs’ inference and finetuning efficiency. He has published over 15 papers in prestigious venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP, ISCA, AMIA, etc. He is the recipient of the best student paper award of AMIA 2023 and the IEEE Micro Top Pick 2023.
