Jaanita Mehrani is a PhD student in the Applied Physics Graduate Program at Rice University. She completed her Bachelor's in both Physics and Electrical Engineering at Rice in 2022, and is now part of the SCOPE Lab (advised by Dr. Huang) and Kono Lab (advised by Dr. Kono), hosted by the ECE department. Her research interests include material science and dark matter detection, and she is currently working on quantum material optimization for axion searches.
