Heather King is a PhD candidate in the English Department at Rice. She completed her MSc in Political Theory at the LSE in 2021, writing a thesis on the representation of non-human animal agency in the dominant discourse of academic history. Prior to this, she graduated from Queen Mary, University of London, with a B.A. in Politics and International Relations. At Rice, her research interests include multispecies community and human-animal relations.
