Grace Vasterling is a graduate student whose research focuses on the American South, emphasizing the experiences of African Americans, the working class, and women. Specifically, she is interested in these groups' social and cultural history. While her work has primarily centered on enslavement, she is also interested in studying the Reconstruction, Jim Crow, and the Progressive eras. She hopes to pursue a career in public history and archival studies.
