Gabriella Gagliano is a graduate student in the Gustavsson lab at Rice University. Her research currently focuses on using 3D single-molecule super-resolution imaging and tracking to study the protein dynamics occurring in Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS) cells. She is interested in the application of physics for developing technologies of positive social impact. Specifically, Gabriella is focused on answering questions concerning the molecular mechanisms occurring in HGPS and in improving the understanding of HGPS disease progression.
