I am a fourth-year student pursuing a BS in Computer Science with a Certificate in Engineering Leadership. My areas of interest include low-level firmware systems and operating systems, high-level functional programing and theory of computation, and programming languages and compilers. I have worked as a firmware intern my three summers at Rice, most recently at Tesla in Palo Alto working on the Drive Inverter Firmware team. I have been involved in RCEL since my freshman year as a student, TA, team chair, and co-student director. Last year I was able to compete in the Lockheed Martin Ethics in Engineering Case Competition. With my partner Cassandra Wagoner, we analyzed a hypothetical case involving interrelated companies addressing technical, ethical, and program management challenges. Then we presented, defended, and advocated for our collaborative and mutually beneficial solution in a head-to-head, single elimination format; Finally we emerged victorious over 76 teams across the nation.
