Dongwook Kim is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University, where he works with Dr. James Doss-Gollin and Dr. Avantika Gori. His research focuses on modeling hydroclimate hazards such as extreme precipitation and flooding using statistical methods, machine learning, and remote sensing, with applications to risk assessment and mitigation planning. Dongwook is from South Korea and received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Hanyang University.
