Diego Ojeda Villavicencio

Diego Ojeda Villavicencio is a Mechanical Engineering student at Rice University pursuing a Certificate in Engineering Leadership. As the Industry Team Lead for the Rice Center for Engineering Leadership (RCEL), he is dedicated to bridging the gap between engineering students and industry professionals.

In this role, Diego manages the RCEL Mentorship Program, connecting undergraduate students with experienced engineers to foster career growth, guidance, and networking opportunities. Additionally, he organizes professional development events, such as indsutry-focused resume review sessions.

Diego strives to build a collaborative environment where Rice engineers can develop both their technical and interpersonal skills. Passionate about rocketry, automotives, and engineering leadership, he is actively involved outside of RCEL as a member of the Rice Eclipse Rocketry Club and Rice Racing, Rice's first Formula SAE team. He is also a founding member of the Rice Chemical Separation & Systems Society (RCS3), where he serves as the Chief Engineer.
