Clara Luce

Clara is a PhD student investigating the history of biology in the 20th century Untied States, with a focus on evolutionary biology and the emergence of biotechnology. Her research examines how the conceptions of the human/non-human boundary have evolved during this period of advancement. She received her B.A. from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University where her thesis, titled “Entanglements of the Living and Non-Living,” focused on the human-animal boundary as it developed in pre- and early modern science.
