Christopher Nicholson is in his first year of the PhD. program at Rice University. He recently earned his Master of the Arts in English literature, with an emphasis in ecocriticism, from the University of Montana. There, his interest in speculative fiction, the Anthropocene, and interspecies relations culminated in a thesis titled "Ghosts, Hauntings, Kinship, and Contamination: Key Tropes for Narrating Extinction in Jeff VanderMeer's Hummingbird Salamander and James Bradley's Ghost Species." As an undergraduate at SUNY Plattsburgh Christopher earned a Bachelor of Science in ecology, and a Bachelor of the Arts in English literature.
