Professor Joseph Campana


Christopher Nicholson is pursuing his Ph.D. in English Literature. His work is broadly located in Extinction Studies and blends the interdisciplinary methods of STS and the Environmental Humanities. He has presented scholarly work at the Thoreau Society and the Popular Culture Association, and has a forthcoming chapter in an edited collection. His dissertation centers the contemporary cultural afterlives of the Neanderthal in genre literature, the arts, paleoanthropological research, and public-facing science communication. Christopher is also deeply motivated by the scholarship and practice of teaching and learning.
