Chris Ordoñez

Chris Ordoñez is a student in the Master of Engineering Management and Leadership (MEML) program, graduating in December 2024.

Chris is a marine technology professional with over two decades of experience in ocean technology, including underwater robotics manufacturing, hydrographic mapping, oceanographic research, and offshore construction. He’s held roles from Field Engineer to Program Manager and worked with diverse cultures on ships and in countries around the globe. Chris has a BS in Ocean Engineering (Texas A&M Univ.), a MS in Ocean Physics (Oregon State Univ), and held numerous leadership positions in the Marine Technology Society.

Chris's professional interests are in developing technical solutions for the Energy Transition in the New Blue Economy.
