Bruno Buccalon is a graduate student interested in Latin American environmental history during the 19th and 20th centuries. His current research focuses on public space design at the Tijuca National Park, in Rio de Janeiro. Before coming to Rice, he received a B.A. in architecture and urban planning from Escola da Cidade and worked at the photography department of Instituto Moreira Salles. He collaborates with the imagineRio platform and the History and Nature Lab at UFRJ.
