Postdoc Representative, Bioengineering Graduate Student Association (BIOE GSA)

Barun Mahata is from West Bengal, India. He is a 5th year postdoc in Dr. Isaac Hilton’ s Lab. He is a trained molecular biologist and highly interested in genome and epigenome engineering tool development and their implications in human health and diseases. He wants to continue the enthusiasm and excellent work done by previous chairs both in academic and industry related career directions. Further, his aim is to introduce new career growing opportunities such as clinical R&D, government lab work to peers. He loves to read Bengali poetry.
