Anvy Kuriakose

WEBSITE(S)| Nordlander Nanophotonics Group

Anvy is a doctoral candidate in Applied Physics at Rice University, working on Biophysical Modeling of the Inner Ear. She works in the membrane Auditory Bioengineering Group led by Dr. Robert Raphael. Anvy employs her skills in computational physics and finite element method techniques to study ion transport inside Cochlea to better understand the process of hearing. Anvy completed her Applied Physics master's with Prof. Peter Nordlander, performing calculations to explore and better understand the applications of plasmonic nanostructures. While spending most of her time doing research, Anvy is also very passionate about teaching science, and interested in policy-making for higher education.
