Aniruddha Das is originally from the vibrant city of Kolkata, India (also known as the ‘City of Joy’). He received his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India, in 2022. Thereafter, he worked as a research assistant in structural engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur for a year before starting his PhD at Rice University in 2023.
Currently, he is a PhD student working under the supervision of Prof. Satish Nagarajaiah in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University. His research interests include system identification, structural health monitoring, fragility analysis, and resilience of civil infrastructure.
