My name is Andre Lombardi — I’m a native of Irvine, CA, and a third-year Hanszenite studying Social Policy Analysis and Organ Performance. I studied in the European Union: Politics, Economics, and Law summer program provided by IES Abroad. There is no shortage of expert speaker events or immersive experiences on this trip, especially since there are so many opportunities to travel to EU institutions. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in policy research, politics, and economics, and to a lesser extent, law. For me, it was most advantageous to see instances of successful initiatives, especially on environmental and welfare policy, that can serve as models for developing sound US policies.
