Alan has a background in industrial engineering and professional experience in the automotive industry. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and Hochschule Esslingen.

Alan's career path began at BMW Headquarters in Munich, Germany, where he interned and participated in program planning activities. After this experience, he decided to pursue a career in the automotive industry. From that internship, he became a Manufacturing Supervisor at Ford Motor Company, supervising production lines. He has also interned for BMW in South Carolina, where he created a Digital Value Stream Map for the Paint Shop.

Alan is now studying for a Master of Engineering Management and Leadership (MEML) degree at Rice University. Apart from academics, he is the secretary of the MEML Student Association and VP of the SPE Chapter at Rice.
