Adan Mireles is a talented individual with a profound passion for science. He pursued his undergraduate studies in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (and a minor in Physics) at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Though born in Texas, he spent his formative years in the dynamic border region between El Paso, TX and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, an experience that shaped his global outlook.
An avid Python coder, Adan applies his programming skills to his current research in 4D Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (4D STEM), meticulously processing data to extract invaluable insights and create comprehensive 3D models of the materials under study. His ultimate goal is to bring his expertise to a national lab, furthering the impact of his research.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Adan harbors a deep interest in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence. This enthusiasm is reflected in his modeling work, where he constantly explores the potential applications of AI technologies.
In his personal life, Adan enjoys a rich array of hobbies. From reading and writing to skydiving and playing music, his interests are as diverse as they are engaging. He also values physical fitness, often working out, and treasures the time spent with his friends. Among his family of four siblings, Adan is second eldest, a position that has instilled in him a blend of leadership and camaraderie.
