Hi! My name is Abby, and I am a Junior at McMurtry College (aka The Best Residential College at Rice University).

My major is Sports Medicine & Exercise Physiology, in addition to my minors in
Entrepreneurship and Creative Writing. I am interested in women’s health, exercise, mental well-being, empowering female athletes, and using the written word as an art form. Maybe one of these days, I’ll have an idea of how I will weave everything together and create a professional career! A girl can dream.

I studied abroad Summer ‘26 in Stockholm, Sweden, and Copenhagen, Denmark, through DIS – Study Abroad in Scandinavia. I spent 7 weeks in Stockholm (with a Study Tour in Croatia for 5 days) and 3 weeks in Copenhagen. Additionally, I participated in the Rice Global Paris program in Summer ‘25. I had an absolutely wonderful time taking classes, exploring new cities, and learning more about myself along with the world around me. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to capitalize on the incredible opportunity to study abroad.
