Yvonne (Yiwen) joined the Rice Office of Study Abroad in Spring 2026. A graduate of Tongji University (B.A.) and Stanford University (M.A.), Yvonne’s own path was shaped by her time studying in Japan through the Harvard Summer School and the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies, supported by several fellowships. After teaching East Asian languages and culture at Indiana University Bloomington and working as a Project Coordinator for a Houston-based language firm, she is eager to transition into this administrative role. Yvonne is grateful for the opportunity to use her academic and industry background to support the team and help Rice students navigate their own international experiences.
