Yuanyuan Ma is a geophysicist working to solve challenges related to energy systems and improve the understanding of subsurface activity using advanced seismic acquisition and monitoring approaches. Her current research focuses on DAS microseismic data processing using machine learning methods, fracture characterization by passive seismic imaging, and integrated analysis to support geothermal reservoir explorations and hydraulic fracturing operations. She is also interested in induced seismicity and understanding the relationship to fault activation. Her previous research mainly involves machine learning applications in seismic processing and reservoir properties inversion.
