Yizhi joined the Hautier group in January 2025 as a postdoc researcher. Her research focuses on spin defects for quantum information applications, with an interest in leveraging high-throughput calculations for materials design. She earned her Ph.D. in Quantum Science and Engineering from the University of Chicago, where she was co-advised by Professors Giulia Galli and David Awschalom. She received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University. In her free time, she enjoys going to musicals, baking, and cuddling with her cat, Pocky.
