Vinash joined Rice University in October 2023 as an Internal Auditor, bringing with him extensive auditing experience and a keen sense of identifying critical risks and providing astute recommendations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA.

Before joining Rice, Vinash worked as an internal auditor for the 1199SEIU Benefit & Pension Funds in New York City, which provides comprehensive benefits to working and retired healthcare industry workers. During his tenure, Vinash performed operational, financial, and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to the Fund's policies, procedures, federal and local laws, and industry regulations. He has also worked as an external auditor for local unions in the NY area, performing compilations, reviews, and financial statement audits.

At Rice, Vinash performs audit procedures and recommends ways to improve University operations, collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to identify potential risks and propose controls that mitigate these risks. His dedication to ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices helps Rice University maintain its reputation as a responsible and transparent institution.
