Veronica Tremblay is a Marketing Manager under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Marketing and Communications. She has over ten years of research administration experience and eight years of professional editing and writing experience in the United States and Saudi Arabia. Her writing, designs and artwork have appeared in various institutional and media outlets, including Travel Africa magazine, Inside Science, and Rice Engineering magazine.
Before joining Rice University, Veronica worked for three years as an editor at a consulting firm. She has a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. After almost ten years living in the DC region and several years working in international research grant management, she moved to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) on the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia, where she spent over four years. Her work there as an editor of academic research articles spawned a passion for reading and writing about science. She returned to the United States during the pandemic and earned a Master of Arts in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University. She now volunteers on the editorial board of The Science Writer, a web-based magazine that publishes articles written by current JHU students. She lives in Houston with her husband, Vladimir, and their three beautiful daughters. Veronica enjoys exploring new places, planning family adventures, doodling with pencils and watercolors, and eating ramen noodles.
