As the IRSO Assistant Director of Research Administration, Valerie provides comprehensive project management and operational support for IRSO institutes, centers, and interdisciplinary initiatives. Before joining Rice ECE in 2018 and IRSO in 2021, she held positions at the Baylor College of Medicine in the Departments of Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Virology/Microbiology. Valerie received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Oboe Performance. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her dog and working on her art.
