Udayabhanu M. Jammalamadaka is the lab manager of the Biomaterials lab at the Rice University. He received his Bachelors in Pharmacy (2010) from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India, and his Ph. D (2016) from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA. He was a Staff Scientist at Washington University in St. Louis before joining the Rice University in 2021 as a lab manager.
Uday’s research focuses on applications of 3D printing in Biomedical and Medical fields. In the area of biomedical applications of 3D printing, his research focuses on processing and evaluation of novel biomaterials for use in scaffolds for tissue engineering and biomedical devices for personalized drug delivery systems. In the area if medical applications of 3D printing, his research focuses on patient specific anatomical modelling, phantom design and fabrication of the 3D models. He is the author of 28 publications and three book chapters. He has been sited over 1400 times and has an h-index of 16.
