Ted Walker leads the foundation relations team and works to understand how foundation funding can support faculty toward their research goals, to track and maximize the breadth of foundation funding across Rice, and to support proposals that align with the goals of private foundation philanthropy. To achieve this understanding, he meets regularly with faculty members and university leadership, colleagues in the Office of Research and development, and foundation representatives. Ted has a BA in literature from Middlebury College and an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is a youth baseball coach and a podcaster.
