Summer Bartlett-Moore is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Development and Alumni Relations at Rice University. A dedicated fundraising officer returning to Rice with more than 28 years of experience in Advancement Operations leadership, she has worked at partnering Texas Medical Center organizations, The Menninger Clinic and Baylor College of Medicine, forging collaborations with colleagues, faculty, executive leadership, and institutional stakeholders, for multifaceted capital and programmatic campaigns - including the TMC's first $1 Billion campaign, Best Mind Best Medicine. Her broad philanthropy expertise is founded in data-informed strategies for operations, prospect management and research, analytics, systems optimization, philanthropic compliance, stewardship reporting and campaign development.
Summer’s career in philanthropy was born from a love of the arts and commitment to a community of caring, driving her professional growth in positions at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Rice University. As Director of Strategic Initiatives, she now serves as a thoughtful integrator focused on translating the University's innovative academic and research priorities into compelling philanthropic opportunities. Returning to Rice University, her desire is for continued success as a shared experience with her teams and visionary Rice leaders creating sustainable global impact.
