As Director of Partnerships and Operations for Rice Global India, Sreya Ghose provides the leading support for Rice University’s strategic objectives in India, including advancement of key business opportunities and maximizing brand impact and relationship development.
With over 15 years of experience, Sreya is an international higher education professional, specializing in helping high-ranking institutions achieve brand visibility and success in India. Her journey in the international education sector started as an undergraduate student at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Sreya graduated from Kenyon with a double major in Economics and International Studies and a deep appreciation of an American liberal arts education. She returned to India to live and work in Mumbai, earning an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management (Shillong) along the way. She is well-respected in the Indian higher education sector and is a regular speaker and participant at prominent global industry-specific conferences like NAFSA, AIEA, APAIE, and Going Global.
Sreya joined Rice University after spending eight years in Acumen (a part of the Sannam S4 group) where she was the Director of Partner Success – North America at Acumen where she worked closely with universities from the US and Canada to create partnership strategies, brand awareness, and research/consulting projects for institutions looking to enhance their engagements in India. As part of her responsibilities of delivering success for partners, she has developed wide-ranging relationships with key stakeholders in Indian organizations, institutions, government bodies, embassies, trade groups and corporates. Sreya worked in the Indian corporate sector as a communications professional prior to joining Acumen where she cultivated CXO-level relationships with flagship large-cap companies in India.
