Shannon Duncan

Shannon Duncan is a visual artist who has been working with photography and digital media, printmaking, installation and the act of collecting/purging. During her undergraduate studies, Duncan majored in both Studio Art and Sociology (2004), which resulted in a four-year-long documentary project on Little Five Points in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her MFA in Photography and Digital Media at the University of Houston in 2007. She has taught multiple levels of Photography and Digital Media at locations including Houston Community College, Lonestar College, Houston Center for Photography and the University of Houston since 2005. Duncan is a member of Box13 Artspace, an artist-run nonprofit in Houston, Texas. In the last eleven years, she has had exhibitions in Houston galleries including Lawndale Art Center, Box13 Artspace, Houston Center For Photography, El Rincon Social, and will be showing at Art League Houston during Fotofest, 2016.
