Dr. Rajalaxmi (Raji) Natarajan is the Science Writer for the George R. Brown of Engineering and Computing at Rice University. Raji has over 20 years of experience in science writing and editing as well as in leading innovative and impactful enterprise-wide science communications efforts for marketing, PR, and fundraising purposes. In addition to her expertise in creating compelling science-focused narratives for diverse audiences, she has successfully launched and managed several major institutional communications initiatives and complex multi-institutional collaborative communications projects with academic, government, and industry partners. Raji is also proficient in website design, web and social media content layout, strategy, and management. She holds a PhD in Cell Biology from Carnegie Mellon University and has completed postdoctoral training in Neurobiology and Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis and University of Texas Medical Branch.
