My research focuses on geophysics, seismology, and distributed acoustic sensing (DAS). I use machine learning and advanced computational tools to enhance earthquake detection and offshore activity monitoring, and understand the impact of environmental changes to the shallow layers of the solid Earth. I investigate subsurface dynamics, fault behavior, and seismic cycles, particularly in subduction zones, while also exploring the use of DAS for environmental applications such as soil health, water retention, and dynamic soil moisture monitoring. By integrating innovative technologies and methodologies, my work aims to advance earthquake science, improve hazard mitigation, and contribute to environmental monitoring.
