Murad’s primary responsibilities include financial data management within the Budget Office. In his role, he will be working to provide support to the Budget Office and Finance and Administration leadership on planning and budget models, BTI allocation mechanisms, and other strategic projects.

Prior to joining Rice University, Murad held various positions at the University of Chicago. He worked in the Budget Office, managing budget systems and supporting budget operations. Most recently, he served as Director of Financial Compliance in UChicago's Office of National Laboratories, supporting the university's relationship with Argonne National Laboratory and Fermilab. 

Murad holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University, where he focused on financial analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration - finance from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
