Margaret de Sosa serves as executive administrator at Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research. Prior to joining the Kinder Institute, she was the executive assistant to Malcolm Gillis, president emeritus of Rice University and Zingler Professor of Economics. For many years, de Sosa ran her own corporate events company in Washington, D.C., coordinating logistics for conferences, trade missions, and sponsored occasions. Among the many other positions held by de Sosa, she worked in an administrative capacity at Shell in London and The Hague, and General Atomic in London. She attended Loughton College, U.K., where she studied business and commerce.
