Lizzy Cashiola

Lizzy Cashiola is the associate director of regional research at the Kinder Institute for Urban Research’s Houston Education Research Consortium. Cashiola began working with HERC’s regional research team in 2019 as a research scientist. In partnership with HERC’s 11 school district partners, she has overseen the regional long-term English learner (LTEL) study and will soon launch a regional early childhood study. She has also assisted with studies examining student mobility, social-emotional learning and schools’ responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cashiola received her Ph.D. in applied developmental psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
