Before coming to Rice, Lee Williams received his B.S.Ed. (psychology and education), M.A. (social psychology), and Ph.D. (social psychology) from the University of Virginia, where he served as an Institute of Education Sciences predoctoral fellow. His research leverages quantitative (e.g., statistical modeling) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups) methodology to better understand and mitigate structural and psychological drivers of societal inequity.
