La’Quinta Payne is an Assistant Director of Career Development at the Center for Career Development at Rice University. Bringing previous experience in career development and higher education, she supports students in various stages of their career development through one-on-one career advising, developing job and networking strategies, and creating professional documents, such as resumes, CVs, and cover letters. Her primary goal is to empower and educate students to make informed career decisions. Additionally, she manages the Peer Career Advisor (PCA) Program. La’Quinta holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
